Commonly used, its fine green leaves aromatize stews, salads, sauces and more. In addition to facilitating digestion, it is attributed antibacterial and antifungal properties. In infusion, it is used as a gargle and proves to be a good remedy for sore throats. Thyme was already used by the Egyptians to embalm the dead and the Greeks used it to perfume the water of their baths and the air of their temples.
