This Asian leaf vegetable is gaining popularity in North American and European markets. And for good reason ! Its tender young shoots of sweet flavor give an interesting texture to salads and soups (added at the end of cooking). Mature plants form a rosette of glossy, dark green leaves with a median rib and narrow white petiole. They are tasty in stir-fries with peppers and shallots.
